An expensive ring that was found near the entrance of Wal-Mart on July 28 has been returned to its owner.
The ring, estimated to be worth approximately $1,000, was picked up by its delighted owner on Aug. 8 after the RCMP made an appeal to the public for information about the item.
RCMP Const. Tari Huddle said that when the engagement ring was returned to the owner, she was “so happy and left a package for the finder with a thank you note.”
“Good deeds don’t always go unnoticed,” Huddle said.
“Thanks to word of mouth and social media, the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were pleased to see this engagement ring make it back to its rightful owner.”
