Two drivers issued three-day suspensions

A 25-year old driver earned an immediate roadside suspension in a New Year’s day roadblock. Oak Bay police stopped the driver around 9:40 a.m. in a roadblock on Henderson Road near Avondale Road. The officer detected the odour of liquor on the driver’s breath. Subsequent roadside breath tests produced ‘warn’ readings earning the driver an immediately license suspension for three days.

On Jan. 7 at 2:15 a.m. a motorist was stopped for speeding on Cadboro Bay Road. Roadside breath tests produced ‘warn’ readings and that driver was issued an immediate three-day driving suspension and had his vehicle impounded for three days.
