If you see a large group of boats out in Vancouver harbour on Tuesday morning, don’t worry – it’s just an oil spill response drill.
Led by the West Coast Marine Response Corporation, the annual exercise ensures responders have Transport Canada certification.
Equipment and vessels from the corporation’s south coast fleet were set to be deployed to a simulated 150,000 litres spill beginning at 9:30 a.m. until about 11 a.m.
