A green Freightliner being driven by Larry Nicholas travels down Forest Service Road 2 out of Tree Farm 18 last week. Hauling out of the TFL began on Monday in preparation for Canfor's planned reopening of its Vavenby sawmill. 'It's nice to be back to work,' said Alex Dodd, the truck's owner. Canfor shut down its Vavenby division in the summer of 2009 due to market conditions. One shift of about 50 workers is to go back to work on Sept. 6.
