Emergency crews responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident on Highway 97 just north of Red Wing Drive Friday morning about 7:20 a.m.
The older model car appeared to have been travelling southbound when it struck a small cement barrier on the side of the road, careening across the four lanes of the highway and winding on the side of the road in a ditch several metres deep on the east side of the highway.
The right lane of the road was closed while fire, ambulance and police attended to the scene.
It’s not known if anybody was seriously injured in the crash.
