CLOVERDALE β€” A Surrey parents advisory committee is hoping a powerful hour-long presentation will help parents understand the pressures on their children – and ultimately keep them out of gangs.

Called β€œEnd Gang Life,” the Feb. 11 forum will feature a talk from Const. Jordan McLellan, a gang enforcement officer who will explain the myths and realities of gang lifestyles.

Former gang member Jordan Buna will also share his life story and talk about how his poor choices sent his life down a dangerous path. A question and answer period will follow.

The Lord Tweedsmuir PAC presentation happens Thursday, Feb. 11 (7 p.m.) at Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary, located at 6151 180 St.
