Parking improvements are coming to Tradex.
The city, which owns the facility, and the Tourism Abbotsford Society, which operates it, are working on a new agreement that will include “a long-term parking management solution,” according to a report from the Abbotsford economic development department.
The report says that the new solution “will incorporate technology and overall efficiency into the operation.” In the meantime, steps have been taken to improve parking during events this fall, the report says.
Those include security cameras at kiosks, as well as the ability to accept debit and credit cards.
The agreement will also include “key performance indicators relating to revenue, event days and overall economic impact on the community,” the report says.
