Budget 2020 discussions will continue into December to determine the City of Parksville draft municipal budget and 2020-2024 financial plan.
“Public input is an important part of the financial planning process and council wishes to receive comments and suggestions from residents. Residents are encouraged to attend budget meetings,” said City of Parksville manager of communications Deb Tardiff in a release.
Budget meetings will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3 and Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. in the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre. Council will provide opportunities for the public to provide comments and ask questions at the meetings.

Residents can email comments and questions to council@parksville.ca. Comments should be received by Nov. 26 for the Dec. 3 meeting and by Dec. 3 for the Dec. 10 meeting. It is important to note that any comments received will form part of the public record.

Council’s first budget meeting was held on Nov. 5 and may be viewed through webstreaming on the city’s website.
