Paramedics, police and firefighters converged on to Lougheed Highway Thursday afternoon after reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle near 223rd Street at about 2 p.m. The extent of any injuries is unknown.
Police then completely blocked the two eastbound lanes of Lougheed Highway in the downtown. The TransLink bus is not involved.
Ridge Meadows Mounties confirmed that a pedestrian was taken to hospital but the extent of injuries is not yet known. Roads are often blocked in order for police to conduct their investigations safely, police added.
