Pedestrian struck at Skaha Lake Road intersection

Woman was taken to hospital with unknown injuries

A pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Skaha Lake Road and Yorkton Ave. Monday (Nov. 16) afternoon.

The female pedestrian was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

Penticton Fire acting captain Brent Ryll said the accident took place just before 2:30 p.m. in the lighted intersection, located near Kojo Sushi. The female driver involved remained at the scene and spoke with police. She was unharmed in the incident.

The pedestrian was taken away in a stretcher to an ambulance.

It was raining heavily at the time of the collision. Skaha Lake and Yorkton were blocked for a short time but the intersection is cleared now and traffic is getting through.
