Pedestrian struck by vehicle in South Surrey

Incident happened at the 160 Street and 24 Avenue intersection

A pedestrian was sent to hospital after he was struck by a vehicle at the 160 Street and 24 Avenue intersection Monday morning.

Emergency crews attended to the man, who was laying on his back, in the north west corner of the intersection. The man appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries and was moving and talking to emergency personnel.

Surrey RCMP Cpl. Elenore Sturko said the emergency call came in at 8:01 a.m.

Sturko said the police file report did not indicate it was a hit-and-run.
