A pedestrian was struck while crossing Roberts Street around 3 p.m. on Friday Jan. 22.
The pedestrian crossed the road and was heading toward Antique Addict when a vehicle travelling uphill from the Trans Canada Highway hit her. The pedestrian was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.
RCMP on scene say that light from the sun was a factor, and so was distraction on the part of the pedestrian. They urged pedestrians to always use a cross walk, and for drivers to be cautious in situations where their vision is impaired.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
