Running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event promises the best in bocce, tasty brews and a delicious side of networking.
The games begin at noon and there are prizes for best costume, team spirit, first place through third and a wooden spoon award named “best of the bottom.”
“It’s a fun day everyone looks forward to,” says Pat Taylor, SPCC office manager. “It’s in a beautiful setting, there is team building and some teams challenge each other in advance.”

This year’s tournament sees a new format with more games in a round-robin format, culminating in playoffs. As Taylor alludes to, teams often agree challenges among themselves on the side, to add to the fun, such as two banks competing against each other.
The Fickle Fig are catering and Howl Brewing will be on hand to provide liquid refreshment.
The Chamber say they can accommodate over 20 teams this year, but encourage early registration as six team slots have already been filled. Businesses unable to make it can still have their presence felt by sponsoring courts, which will see their name and information advertised.
