Thieves came through the roof of a closed recreational based business and stole a safe earlier this week.
RCMP Const. James Grandy said sometime overnight between Dec. 10 and 11 Coyote Cruises in Penticton was broken into and a floor safe stolen.

“I’m not sure why they targeted that business considering it was after season and there’s nothing to steal,” he said during an interview with the Western News.
Coyote Cruises is a Penticton Indian Band company that offers everything a person needs to float down the channel.
The culprits cut a hole through the roof, came in and stole the floor safe.
Grandy said there was no money on premises. He noted nothing else was taken but some equipment was damaged.
The investigation into the break and enter is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Penticton RCMP detachment at 250-492-4300.
