RCMP have recovered stolen property and identification during the execution of a search warrant at an apartment and U-Haul truck in Penticton.
Const. James Grandy said Devon Dean White was arrested on July 14 for driving while prohibited and for possession of a controlled substance. Mounties searched the vehicle he was driving which led to the discovery of 30 pieces of allegedly stolen identification and other property suspected of being stolen from the Apex Ski Resort area just a day or two prior.

Grandy said officers, along with the newly-formed Street Enforcement Unit, then executed two search warrants at an apartment on Sydney Street and a U-Haul truck.
“Numerous additional stolen documents and identification was found, which officers believe the suspect were in possession of for the purpose of identity theft,” said Grandy.
Also recovered was a stolen dirt bike, that was reportedly stolen from a break and enter in Okanagan Falls on July 12. Grandy said property from the Apex break and enter, property from a break and enter to the Edge Water Marina in Peachland and cheques stolen from the Roll N Stones bowling alley in Penticton were also recovered.
White appeared in court on July 15 and was remanded in custody until July 31 pending further investigation. RCMP said additional charges for White are anticipated.
