Penticton’s beloved Santa parade has been saved.
Hoodoo Adventures and the city of Penticton are partnering to ensure the community can continue the Santa Parade tradition. They are creating a stand-still parade where the public will drive through “Candy Cane Lane” on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the South Okanagan Event Centre.
Festive displays will be set up all throughout the South Okanagan Event Centre parking lot. People must reserve a time online for their family or household to drive through the parking lot to take in all the lights and sights brought to you by local businesses. And yes, Santa will be there, of course.

The event is free to the public and it requires people to register their vehicle. They will be given a time slot of when they can drive through.
Vehicles will move through in waves as passengers enjoy the light displays, music and celebrations from the comfort and safety of their own vehicle.
“This is a great opportunity to promote our local businesses and come together to celebrate the holiday season safely, in a year where we could all use some extra cheer,” said Hoodoo’s event coordinator Nathalia Long.
Businesses who want to showcase their festive spirit and are ready to get their jingle on, to help bring something really special and unique to the community by providing a stand still parade float or display, can contact Hoodoo Adventures for a vendor application.
