An individual was airlifted out of Parksville Community Park just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14.
Several eyewitnesses in Parksville Community Park say they saw an advanced life support ambulance drive into the park and wheel what they believe to be a man out and load him onto the helicopter.

Cpl. Mike Kane with the Oceanside RCMP said police will release details at some point on Friday, Nov. 15.
“There’s an active investigation ongoing, there’s no danger to the public,” said Kane.
Chief of the Parksville Volunteer Fire Department Marc Norris said they received a call at 2:56 p.m. reporting an incident downtown Parksville.
“We had two crews that responded. One crew to the scene to administer medical care and the other crew to set up a landing pad for helicopter,” said Norris.
