The petition was started on Thursday night, and currently has 578 signatures collected.

Davidson was transported to the hospital on Monday afternoon, after suffering serious injuries during a shootout in the area of Mt. Lehman Road and South Fraser Way in west Abbotsford. He later died in hospital from those injuries.

The Abbotsford Police Department is also encouraging the public to put blue ribbons out in Davidson’s memory.

The APD received a donation of rolls of blue ribbon earlier today, and do have extra ribbon available at the headquarters for the public to use.
