Heavy flooding continued in the Abbotsford area on Sunday afternoon after a weekend of heavy rain and wind pummelled the province’s south coast.

Boundary Road near Huntington, not far from the U.S.–B.C. border, was completely flooded in some stretches.

In Hougen Park, near Highway 1, picnic tables and playgrounds were underwater.

Slightly to the southwest, the Sumas border crossing was closed much of the day Sunday after a torrential downpour.
