Nanaimo had its eyes on the sky today for the solar eclipse. Residents were out taking pictures as the moon blocked out 86 per cent of the sun for a couple of minutes at about 10:20 a.m. Monday.
Brent Richardson, who took the photo above, set up his camera on a tripod at his home in the College Heights area and took photos at random intervals using a 200-millimetre lens and two neutral-density filters.
