Airplane crashes at Pitt Meadows Airport Sunday morning.

The pilot of a Second World War replica plane was taken to hospital after crashing at Pitt Meadows Airport Sunday morning. The plane landed in a ditch before bursting into flames shortly after take off. The pilot was pulled from the plane and taken to hospital suffering from minor burns. The airplane is known as a kitplane, a home built aircraft using an assembly kit. The Transportation Safety Board will be investigating.
