Police briefs: Cars crash on Ring Road at UVic

Wallets, cell phones swiped at Windsor; reminder to lock vehicles, remove valuables

Ring Road crash

On Sept. 27, police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Ring Road at the University of Victoria. One vehicle made a lane change and the driver did not see the other vehicle. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The driver who made the lane change was issued a violation ticket.

Wallets, cell phones swiped

Police are investigating after a changeroom was targeted in Windsor Park last week.

On Sept. 27, police were called to Windsor Park where a number of wallets and cell phones had been stolen from the change room. The matter is still under investigation.

Reminder to lock your car

On Sept. 28, there were four thefts from motor vehicle that occurred in south Oak Bay near the Chinese Cemetery sometime overnight. Police are reminding residents to ensure all valuables are removed from their vehicles to avoid tempting potential thieves.
