Salmon Arm RCMP have taken a shirtless man into custody after an incident that stopped traffic along the Trans-Canada Highway early Thursday evening.
Traffic was stopped and five RCMP cruisers were on scene as the man was seen sitting on the median of the roadway.
The incident took place at approximately 5:30 p.m. on the highway west of the Shuswap Street intersection across from the Wendy’s Restaurant.
The man was later seen by witnesses being taken into police custody.
