Abbotsford Police say a car that caught fire late last night was deliberately torched.

Emergency crews arrived at a home in the 2600 block of Caboose Place in West Abbotsford, near Aldergrove, to find one of three cars parked in the driveway engulfed in flames.

The blaze severely damaged a second car, but firefighters were able to keep it away from a third vehicle and the nearby house.

Abbotsford Police Sgt. Judy Bird say the fire was deliberately set and officers have been checking closed-circuit television footage and been speaking to neighbours in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 604-859-5225, or, to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or report online at solvecrime.ca.
