Police investigating death in Fraser Lake

A person has been found dead in Fraser Lake.

A person has been found dead in Fraser Lake.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 8 am, a 66-year old Fraser Lake resident was found deceased and as per a news release, evidence suggests that he was struck by a commercial vehicle.

Investigation by the police identified the vehicle involved and have seized it for forensic examination.

The driver is cooperating with the police, the release states.

The investigation is ongoing and casual factors have yet to be determined, said Sgt. Jason Rumming, NCO in charge of Fraser Lake RCMP.

Police have confirmed that alcohol was not involved.

The RCMP would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area of the shopping mall and along Endako Ave between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and may have dash-cam footage.
