A suspect wanted for an alleged home invasion in Alberta has been found in Enderby.
At about 8 p.m. Thursday, the RCMP was notified that a male suspect with a Canada-wide warrant from Alberta had eluded the police in the Lower Mainland and could now be in this area.
“Officers from the Enderby office located the suspect vehicle at the RV park off Kildonan Ave,” said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.
“When they went in to check the washroom where they suspected him to be, the male took off running.”
The police service dog intercepted him within moments of him trying to flee.
“The suspect did receive an injury to his left arm as a result of the arrest with the police dog,” said Molendyk.
The 20-year-old suspect was expected to appear in court Friday and is expected to be returned to Alberta to answer to numerous charges related to an alleged home invasion in Medicine Hat.
