Two men were taken to hospital with “serious injuries” after a stabbing near the Surrey Central SkyTrain station and bus loop Friday afternoon (July 16).
Around 3:20 p.m., police were notified by BC Ambulance Service that two men, both 25 years old, “were stabbed on the street” near 102A Avenue and University Drive, according to a release from Surrey RCMP.
While police said both men had “serious injuries,” they were in “stable condition” later that night.
Surrey RCMP is now looking to identify the “lone suspect,” who is described as Black, about six-foot-five, with a muscular build. Police added the suspect was wearing grey sweatpants and a black tank top.
The suspect allegedly left the scene by taxi before police arrived.
A Black Press Media freelancer on scene said police had cordoned off a “large” area around Surrey Central SkyTrain station and the bus loop while officers investigated.
