Ridge Meadows RCMP need the public’s help to track down a man accused of sexually assaulting a child 35 years ago in Pitt Meadows.
Police began the “historical investigation” after receiving a complaint from the victim in 2012.
The victim was 10 years old at the time of the assault, which took place on Planetree Lane in the Highland Trailer Park.
The person of interest is a Caucasian man, five feet 10, 170 lbs, who was in his 30s at the time.
He had dark curly hair cropped just above his neck line, evenly distributed, and a gap between his teeth.
“This description is from the late 1970s,” said Cpl. Alanna Dunlop after investigators released a sketch of the suspect on Tuesday to reflect what he would look like now.
“This would put him in his 60s now.”
It is believed the man lived in a trailer along Planetree Lane, and may have worked as a mail carrier with Canada Post.
Police are looking for information that could help identify him and or lead investigators to his location.
