Police looking for witnesses after skateboarder clipped in hit and run in Duncan

Just before noon, a man was skateboarding along the side of Sherman Road

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are looking for anyone who witnessed a vehicle clip a skateboarder on Sunday, Jan. 26.

Just before noon, a man was skateboarding along the side of Sherman Road at Lane Road in Duncan when he was hit by the mirror of a vehicle travelling in the same direction.

This made the skateboarder lose his balance, knocking him to the ground. The man suffered minor injuries and reported the incident to the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP directly afterwards. The vehicle reported to be involved in the incident is described as a red Nissan Frontier.

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating any witnesses to this incident.
