Dozens of items confirmed or thought to be stolen have been seized as part of a property crime investigation at an acreage just outside of Prince George.

On the morning of Monday, Sept. 9, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a stolen Dodge pickup truck from a residence on Riverview Road, according to a news release from the RCMP. The theft happened sometime overnight.

Through investigation, frontline officers with the Prince George RCMP obtained a Criminal Code search warrant for a property on Moldowan Cutoff Road, north of Nukko Lake, and during the search of the large property, officers located and seized many items. These include seven stolen vehicles (including the stolen pickup truck from Sept. 9), five ATVs (two of which were confirmed stolen), one dirtbike, one snow blade, eight generators, two compressors, one propane heater, one tidy tank, five loaded firearms, ammunition, one crossbow, “many” power tools and “a number of” chainsaws.

Police say all of these items are confirmed or believed to have been stolen. One of the vehicles had been stolen from Vanderhoof and one had been stolen from Quesnel.

Efforts to identify the property owners are underway, and police have arrested six people who are associated to the property.

“The investigation is in the early stages,” Prince George RCMP state in the release. “More details may be released as the investigation continues.”

Prince George RCMP ask anyone who has any information about these criminal offences to contact the police at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca.
