Kamloops RCMP have released a surveillance photo of 16-year-old murder victim CJ Fowler today in hopes the image will lead to new information from the public about where she may have gone in the hours before her death.
Fowler’s body was discovered around 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 5 on an embankment near the end of Grandview Terrace in Kamloops.
The photo was taken before she left Royal Inland Hospital at 2:54 a.m., around eight hours earlier. Based on evidence derived in the ongoing investigation, police believe that she was murdered before dawn on that same day.
She was wearing blue jeans, a bubble gum pink tank top, a black and grey plaid jacket covered by a larger medium green jacket. SHe was 160 cm (5’3″) tall and weighed about 45 kg (100 pounds) and had a slim build with straight black hair that extended slightly below her shoulders and brown eyes.
Police investigators want to hear from anyone who may have seen Fowler between the Royal Inland Hospital and where she was found in the ravine at the end of Grandview Terrace.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Kamloops Detachment at 250-828-3000 or Crimestoppers.
