Fort St. James RCMP responded to a range of incidents between Nov. 17 and Nov. 23.
There were numerous traffic-related incidents, several of which were drinking and driving-related.
There were two 24-hour roadside suspensions issued, and one charge of impaired driving.
One 24-hour suspension resulted from a snowmobile driver stopped at Sowchea Road and Highway 27, the other from a vehicle stopped at Highway 27 at Moutainview.
Another driver was reportedly stopped on Stuart Drive at Douglas, with no licence and who was prohibited from driving.
On Tuesday, Nov. 29, one man reportedly was seen by multiple witnesses at the Fort St. James Provincial Court building, where he drove up, entered the building and was described as having “made a scene” and then walked back out to his vehicle and drove away, appearing intoxicated.
The man was later arrested at his house after authorities were notified, and when given a breathalizer test, blew four and a half times the legal limit.
A small amount of marijuana was confiscated by the principal of the high school on Nov. 24. The drugs were taken from a locker, however no charges are pending from the incident.
On Nov. 25, two brothers reportedly became involved in a disagreement on Douglas Avenue. One brother is said to then have threatened to kill the other one while he had a knife in his hand. Charges have been recommended to crown for uttering threats and assault with a weapon. No one was injured in the alleged incident, and one man will appear in court on Feb. 28, 2012.
Saturday, Nov. 26, RCMP responded to reports of youth drinking on Lower Road.
RCMP members attended and are said to have found one young man breaching the curfew conditions of his parole.
On Monday, Nov. 28, a dog was reported stolen from a residence on Mountainview Road. A three-month-old Rottweiler-Lab cross was allegedly taken, and the RCMP have suspects in the case and are following up on some leads.
Anyone with any information regarding the case can call the local detachment or Crimestoppers to provide anonymous information, as RCMP just want to see the dog back to its owner.
