Police say attack near library was targeted

Teen victim is not cooperating with Mission police

A 17-year-old male was bear sprayed and assaulted by two other men around 2 p.m. near the library on Second Avenue.

Police do not know the  motivation of the attack, but believe it was targeted.

“The victim was a 17-year-old male who regularly frequents that area and was uncooperative with police,” said Mission RCMP Sgt. Shaun Wright.

Both suspects fled before Mission RCMP arrived on scene.

One suspect involved was described as a while man in his early 20s, wearing a black, red, and white hoodie. The second male suspect was wearing a black hoodie.
