A suspicious incident in Clayton Heights has Surrey RCMP asking for the public’s help in identifying the people involved.
On Thursday, Feb. 23 at 4 a.m., witnesses reported to police that a woman was helped into a dark-coloured SUV by a man near the intersection of 193A Street and 65 Avenue. The man and woman then drove out of the area.
It wasn’t clear to witnesses whether or not the woman voluntarily got into the vehicle, which may have been a grey/blue Jeep Grand Cherokee.
There have been no reports from any victims in this case, which is being investigated by Surrey RCMP’s General Investigation Unit.
Mounties are asking the man or woman involved, as well as any witnesses, to contact police.
“If you were involved in this event, we would like to hear from you to ensure your well-being,” said Cpl. Scotty Schumann. “If you were a witness or have any information regarding the people or vehicle involved, please call police as soon as possible.”
Anyone involved or with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca
