Police seek witness to fatal collision

Two drivers killed in Sunday morning crash on King George Boulevard

Mounties are looking for a witness to a two-vehicle accident that killed both drivers earlier this month.

On Sunday, Nov. 20 at approximately 7:30 a.m., a southbound red F150 pick-up truck traveling on King George Boulevard crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic in the 8100 block, colliding head-on with a red Kia Soul. The 52-year-old male driver of the truck and a 64-year-old woman driving the Kia were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team is still investigating the collision to determine the exact cause.

Surrey RCMP would like to speak with a female motorist who was at the scene of the collision and was talking to a City of Surrey roadside employee. She is described as an Asian female in her 30s. Police believe she may have information regarding the actions of one of the drivers prior to the collision.

Anyone with information about this potential witness, or the collision, who has not already spoken to police is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca, quoting file number 2016-166648.
