A lengthy investigation has led to the closure of several marjuana grow shows after police raided several homes in the Oceanside area this week.
Oceanside RCMP Corporal Richard van de Pol said four marijuana grow operations were taken down by members of the Oceanside Detachment after lengthy investigations, which included members from the detachment’s Crime Reduction Team, General Investigation Section and General Duty units.
In all, he said, police seized close to 1,000 marijuana plants and five area residents face charges including production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
