Nelson RCMP say there has an increase in reported thefts from unlocked vehicles in the Nelson area.
The Nelson Police Department also says it has seen a dramatic increase in similar thefts inside the city.
Police are recommending that residents lock their vehicles and ensure valuables are kept out of sight, and report any suspicious activity to their local police department.
