Police report a rising number of calls in downtown Trail related to disturbing-the-peace.
“On March 1, the Trail and Greater District RCMP Detachment responded to a call for assistance with a male and female screaming and arguing at Selkirk College, in downtown Trail,” Sgt. Mike Wicentowich reported Monday.
“The pair were asked to leave as they were disturbing the peace of people attending the college for legitimate purposes as well as not being patrons themselves.”
There have been a number of incidents at Selkirk College and the RCMP is working with the college to reduce these types of incidents, he added.
“The RCMP will be investigating and pursuing trespassing charges when appropriate and in cooperation with Selkirk College to ensure that it remains an accessible, peaceful and safe place for its many patrons.”
