Potter and fabric artist Andrea Revoy is now the proud owner of this award winning wall quilt created by local quilters from a photograph by Ken Alexander, a Creston painter and photographer. The enlarged photo was cut into slices, then each of the quilters made their own version, or Slice of Paradise. Contributing artists were (from left panel) 1. Lori Wilson, 2. Merilyn Arms, 3. Brigitte Langevin, Gail Thompson and Kate Hall, 4. Donna Krane, 5. Gail Thompson, 6. Kitty McCulloch, 7. Mary Johnston, 8. Linda Maculio, 9. Kate Hall, 10. Brigitte Langevin,11. Mary Lou May and 12. Syd Chihonik. (Note some artists made two panels). The two-year project won the Excellence in Group Quilt Award at the Canadian Quilters’ Association national juried show in 2013. The piece now hangs in Fly in the Fibre on 10th Avenue North, but can be rented by businesses or organizations in return for a donation to Creston Museum, where the quilters work.
