“There are a lot of trees fallen on lines and, as only BC Hydro crews can remove those trees before assessing and repairing the lines, we just have to patiently wait until they can get to them all,” Tofino mayor Josie Osborne told the Westerly News shortly after 5 p.m. Friday. “I do not have an ETA from BC Hydro, but will not be surprised if we go another complete night without power. We’re very grateful for all the hard work the BC Hydro and Public Works crews are providing.”
