There was a silver lining this weekend for Princeton’s Minor Posse Atom team.
The young players skated to second place in a tournament on home ice, winning three games along the way and losing a hard fought battle with Castlegar in the final.
Princeton scored 37 goals on the weekend, while allowing only 13.
The home team beat Cloverdale 10-2, crushed Salmon Arm 10-1, and won over Grand Forks 10-3.
In Sunday’s gold medal game they came up short against Castlegar, losing 10-7.
