Princeton residents are being encouraged to get outside and help gussy up the town Saturday April 24.
The cleanup, being organized by the municipality takes place two days after Earth Day.
“With the snow cleared, garbage that has accumulated over the winter months is now visible. Streets, sidewalks, parks, trails, and river banks are all areas that need attention. Town staff work hard to remove garbage, but there is always more than we can get to,” said Cody Naples, spokesperson for the recreation, culture and tourism department.
Participants will choose an area of town for cleanup, and record their collection effort by sharing photos with the Town of Princeton.
Those who register for the clean up by 12 p.m. on Saturday can pick up a garbage bag, gloves, and a $2 curbside garbage pick up sticker for extra waste pick up, from the Princeton Visitor Centre, 169 Bridge St.
To register call 250-295-0235.
