Quesnel RCMP continue to confiscate large quantities of drugs.
Its latest bust saw them seize 547 grams of methamphetamine, 132 grams of fentanyl and 128 grams of cocaine while searching a home on the 600 block of Doherty Drive. Police also seized two guns and around $6,000 in cash.
The bust was made on Friday, after a two-week investigation, according to a police news release.
Five people were arrested at the home, with drug and firearm charges pending.
Police are not releasing the names of those arrested.
This is the third large drug seizure in the past few months for Quesnel RCMP.
They nabbed a kilogram of meth on Feb. 12 and stumbled upon 350 grams of drugs while responding to a domestic dispute later the same day. Police also arrested a man with 250 grams of various drugs on Dec. 9.
“The Quesnel RCMP remains committed to holding drug traffickers accountable while making the streets of Quesnel a safer place,” Quesnel RCMP Sgt. Richard Weseen said after the Feb. 12 bust.
