Happy Hanukkah to all those in Quesnel beginning celebrations!
As we prepare for the first weekend of the holiday season, Environment Canada is forecasting some nice weather.
Temperatures for Saturday and Sunday are expected to remain near -4 C. The sun is expected to peak through cloud cover on Saturday, and there is a chance of flurries on Sunday.
That light snow could turn into a heavier precipitation on Monday night, as periods of snow are expected.
Emcon Services, the company responsible for clearing the roads in Quesnel, posted a warning to the public on Facebook to be ready for next week.
“Quesnel shop is getting gear ready for the incoming storm,” the post reads. “Please give our trucks space to work. When you see the flashing yellow lights, stay back 10 car lengths. And don’t pass on the right. That wing extended will not look good as a new hood ornament.”
That snowfall could allow ski trails and hills in the area to come completely online.
