The Williams Lake RCMP say they had less than 20 calls for service on Halloween night.
“I can’t believe it,” Insp. Warren Brown said Friday. “There was no crime to speak of (nothing major). It was not unlike any other Thursday night. We had a high police presence and by in large, a very safe night for the ‘trick-or-treaters and festivities.”
Unlike last year’s freezing rain, 2013’s Halloween was fairly balmy with temperatures dipping to -0.5 C at the airport and a total of .2 mm of rain.
