Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for B.C.’s North Coast as of Saturday (Dec. 5), including inland to Kitimat.
Heavy rainfall is expected to continue throughout the day today, with up to 30 mm of rain falling before the intensity eases up Saturday night.
Heavy downpours can cause flash flooding and water pooling on roads, as well as possible localized flooding in low-lying areas. Community members are urged to be careful, especially watching out for possible washouts near the rivers.
