A theft from the Michael Hill jewelry store in Cherry Lane Shopping Centre on May 12 prompted RCMP to seek the public’s help in solving the crime.
According to Staff Sgt. Bob Vatamaniuck, police were alerted at about 1 p.m. that a theft had just taken place.
He said a male reportedly asked to look at a number of items and when they were unprotected, grabbed a handful of them and fled out the nearest exit.
Waiting for him outside the shopping centre was another person behind the wheel of a white Ford pickup truck. The license plate did not match the vehicle.
