The BC Coroner’s Service is working on a file involving a deceased male from Grand Forks.
Grand Forks RCMP confirmed there was a file dealing with a recovered body in the 7000 block of Second Street on June 20, when RCMP received a “query to locate” a person. RCMP found the individual, deceased, on June 21.
Andy Watson for the BC Coroner’s Service confirmed Monday their office is in the early stages of an investigation into the death of a male in his 50s from Grand Forks.
Watson said that to protect the privacy of the deceased, the coroner do not release identity and there was no further information to share at this time.
Cpl. Phillip Crack with the Grand Forks RCMP said there is no reason to believe the death is suspicious and RCMP do not believe foul play is involved.
