A man used a knife to steal money and cigarettes from a convenience store on Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge early Monday.
The robbery took place around 6:45 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on Lougheed Hwy. at Laity Street.
According to Ridge Meadows RCMP, a male suspect produced a knife and left the store after getting an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. He was last seen running north on Laity St. toward Dewdney Trunk Road.
Police searched the area, including the use of a dog from the Lower Mainland Police Dog Services, and the integrated Forensic Identification Section.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately six feet tall with a medium build. He had his face partially covered with the hood of his sweater.
