Surrey RCMP are on scene at Semiahmoo Shopping Centre in South Surrey, investigating a possible robbery attempt.
At about 11 a.m. Friday morning (Dec. 21), RCMP were called to the mall with reports of a robbery in a jewelry store.
“Thankfully, there were no injuries, but the employees are understandably shaken by the occurrence,” said Surrey RCMP Sgt. Chad Grieg.
Surrey RCMP describe the robbery suspect as a man with a thin build, 20 to 30 years old. His face was covered with a black and white bandana and he was wearing a black hat and black clothing.
The suspect is believed to have fled in a black Toyota 4-Runner SUV.
The investigation is ongoing.
